Calgary Food Bank partners with MRU

It’s the dawn of a new era for the Calgary Food Bank.

The organization is signing a memorandum of understanding with Mount Royal University to work together for the benefit of both parties.

Food Bank President James McAra says there is plenty the Food Bank can gain from the partnership.

“We can go beyond and above; communication, business development, there is a whole group of things we can do that are not just a typical ‘we can help you in one particular way,'” said Mcara.

Mcara says students will gain real world experience in the not for profits sector, while profs at MRU can use food bank resources and data to continue research studies.
