BC Transit Welcomes Jonathon Dyck as New Communications Manager

Dyck joins the BC Transit team in Victoria after working the past five years with Northern Health in Prince George - the last three as the Lead, Public Affairs and Media Relations.

BC Transit has announced the appointment of Jonathon Dyck as communications manager. Dyck joins the BC Transit team in Victoria after working the past five years with Northern Health in Prince George - the last three as the Lead, Public Affairs and Media Relations.

His recent experience includes leading Northern Health’s media relations, government relations, and communications strategy for its capital projects. Prior to joining Northern Health, Dyck worked as a news reporter and on-air anchor for Vista Radio Ltd. in Prince George. Dyck will be responsible for managing BC Transit’s corporate communications, including media relations, government relations and social media channels. He will be the primary contact for media inquiries to support BC Transit’s community relations in the 130 cities and towns it serves across the province.

He has a Master of Arts in Disaster and Emergency Management from Royal Roads University (Victoria), a Bachelor of Arts with a major in communications from Simon Fraser University (Burnaby) and a Broadcasting Diploma from Mount Royal College (Calgary, Alberta).
