Poets hit Stephen Ave during the lunch hour

Call it poetry “Old School.”
Wordsmiths from Mount Royal University will be hitting the streets Tuesday with typewriters in hand for what’s being called an afternoon of on-the-spot poetry.
Calgarians are being invited to get a free personal poem from the city’s poet laureate and MRU instructor Micheline Maylor and a trio of her colleagues.
The Pop-Up Poetry event happens between noon and 1 pm, in front of the Winners store on 8 Ave downtown.
